About Andre

”Andre” inspired by U.S pioneers the ‘Electric Boogaloos’ and the ‘Lockers’ has been actively involved in the street dance community since his humble beginnings.
Focusing mainly on Funk-Styles (Popping and Locking), he is also passionate in all aspects of other Street-Dance Styles including Breaking, House and Hip Hop.
Over the years he has also been inspired by other great dancers amongst the community and has had the privilege to be taught and mentored by Suga Pop (Electric Boogaloos) and Greg Campbellock Jnr (Lockers)
Andre combines his dance skills with his thirst for knowledge of dance history, he is also known for his street-dance mentality and along with his soulful creativity, has earned him a place as one of Australia’s most talented street dancers.
As co-founder and original member of ‘Nomadic Funk’ (Australia’s all star popping crew), he has gone to perform with bands such as the ‘Cat Empire’, and has had the honor to judge numerous street dance competitions based on his title as previous champions.
Andre is a firm believer in spreading his knowledge of dance, through community workshops, class and performances to the next generation of dancers.

2009 has been a year of learning for me, Dancing has always been a big part of it. 2010 will be a great year, as some of you may already know i am hoping to travel this year on a personal journey to further my skills and knowledge in to the Art of Street Dancing.
I’m hoping to meet pioneers and great street dancers that has been a great inspirations in my life.
