Description
Cypher Sapiens is a unique production of contemporary hip hop and funk style dance. Experience the evolution and collaboration of Australia’s Number 1 B-Boy Champion Lamaroc and Funk stylists Andre and Enigma as they draw on 30 years of funk and hip hop
The Cypher Sapiens will introduce the dancers to B-Boying, Popping and Locking; Workshop includes the foundation of each style, right through to ground breaking choreography, as seen today in pop culture.
Workshop will consist of groove steps, party dances, history and knowledge on street dance, foundation moves, playing with different styles, fresh routines, and most importantly learning how to be free with the dance.

DANCEKOOL Vol.24
Dancekool Vol 24 is the years biggest event celebrating Street Style dance, culture and history. This year’s event will host the biggest 1on1 battle in Dancekool’s history with Style King 2009, an all 1on1 battle in four differnt styles. In front of world famous interntaional judges, it’s everyone for themselves to see who can make it to the top.
Also a whole host of support acts and dance showcases will be on display including some of the top teams in Sydney and Melbournes dance scene. Not only dance but this year we have incorporated some music and rap performances into the mix to deliver some of the diverse parts of Hip Hop Culture.
Not only that but throughout the day we will be offering free classes in basic hip hop and street style dance moves as well as panels discussing the history of the various dances. To add to that we’ll also have competitions all day for various prizes as well as vendors selling some of the best hip hop merchendise and accessories.
It’s not just a dance event, it’s a festival for hip hop dance and the culture that we love. Come and join us in the celebration and see the best dancers in Australia fighting they way to being the Style King!
